Edible Instagrams! Your Pics On A Marshmallow Are A Sweet Idea from Boomf.

Thanks to my friend Scott, I now know that London company Boomf has come up with the idea of printing your Instagram photos on sweet, squishy completely edible marshmallows!

Drug Lined Coasters by Artist Nir Hod Will Get Any Party Started.

Inspired by artist Nir Hod's series of oil on mirror paintings entitled The Night You Left, Hod bottles the recurring themes of introspection and longing contemplated in this body of work into a functional object: a set of four mirrored coasters, lined with digitally printed white powder.

The paintings that inspired the coasters:

Decadent and eye-catching, the coasters are backed with black velvet and are housed in a sleek black box.

Available in two different sets of four (black or gold) for $95 or in two special limited edition sets (red and pink for valentine's Day) for $180, the 4" x 4" mirrored coasters give the 3D illusion of having freshly cut lines of cocaine.

The title of the editioned set, The Night You Left, suggests a lonely narrative, a moment of solitude when one might turn to drugs not for glamour or excitement, but for revelry and longing. “There is a certain magic in loneliness,” Hod explains, “you have to be alone to create.” He adds, “It’s not about drugs or glamour—it’s about the inside world, where you can dream and love and seek a greater truth—it’s about a feeling of being connected to something so human.”

The Products:

How They Are Made:

The Packaging:

Beautifully and meticulously crafted by the folks at Uncle Goose in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the blocks are made from FSC certified basswood, using non-toxic inks.

The Commercial:
The folks over at Invisible Creature thought it would be fitting to create a short “IC Filmmercial” featuring their wooden critters in action, so they enlisted their friends in Portland, Beautiful Eulogy, to create a score using the blocks themselves and the result is pretty fantastic:

You can purchase Stack And Scare™ directly from the designers , from Uncle Goose or independent toy stores everywhere.

Little Flags Of Awesome - Designers Go Retro for The People's Pennant.

Elevating the classic pennant from sports memorabilia to a celebration of the everyday - that's the concept behind The People's Pennant.

Launched in March of 2012, the Pennant People (Jessica, Tim and Eric of Greenpoint, Brookyln) enlist various graphic designers, typographers and illustrators to create a different wool felt blend pennant that is then sewn and printed by hand. Made in a limited quantity of 250 each, the pennants measure 12" x 30".  And at only $25 a piece, they are fun decor for everything from dorm rooms to offices.

As of now, they have 8 beautiful pennants available for purchase, all shown below.
